You're bored"...Marsha Drummond (AKA Mona the Mad Hatter) Mona studied fine arts at Carnegie Mellon, then pursued a career in fashion illustration, graphic design and art direction. When the computer revolution occurred, design teams and drawings became obsolete. During the time that Mona was exploring alternative creative outlets, she found herself on her way to the Devon Horse Show; hats required. The hat that Mona created for herself provoked much fascination and many compliments. Completing extensive studies in the art of millinery, Mona the Mad Hatter emerged. Her hats have been described as eminently wearable sculptural pieces. Mona makes each hat by hand with hand dyed fabrics and trims. Mona the Mad Hatter says, "It takes creative expression, wearing a hat. You have to have an attitude."
